Taking unexpected cues from 90s house, drum and bass, and trip hop—but never entirely eschewing their dream pop origins—the bbz drew inspiration from the chaotic rhythm of their tours in Asia to explore new sonic and thematic territory on “Night and Blur.”
The band’s first in five years, the album seeks to capture and recreate the sensation of exploring an unfamiliar city at night, blurring the lines between self-reflection and self-destruction.
